Healthcare Engineers looking to get a better understanding of UPS systems in medical environments can learn about the latest guidance provided by HTM 06-01 in an hour-long, free webinar hosted by Kohler Uninterruptible Power on Tuesday 18th March.

The CPD accredited webinar will cover the fundamentals of designing a UPS system enabling healthcare engineers to explore the various UPS options available to suit their requirement as with medical IT systems, there’s no standard one size fits all solution.

Alex Emms, Technical Director at Kohler Uninterruptible Power, who will be running the webinar, says: “As healthcare facilities and operating rooms rely heavily on technology for patient care, it is crucial to have reliable power protection solutions in place. The webinar will also cover off key UPS considerations including understanding the load, supply requirements, redundancy, battery autonomy, redundancy and monitoring as well as design for installation, access and maintenance.

Alex Emms is Technical Director for KOHLER Uninterruptible Power Ltd. Alex has more than 30 years’ experience of the UK power protection business and 19 years’ service at KUP. Alex started out as a Field Service Engineer, progressing to Senior Engineer, Supervisor, Service Manager, Operations Director and now Technical Director.
